Tax authorities conduct raid on Anvitha Group offices
In Hyderabad and surrounding areas, a significant operation was carried out by Income-tax (IT) officials as they descended upon the offices of Anvita Infra Projects early Thursday morning. The raids, which commenced around 6:30 AM, were part of an investigation into allegations of tax evasion by the company. Anvita Infra Projects, known for its substantial footprint in the construction and real estate sectors, is owned by the Vijayawada-based businessman Boppana Atchuta Rao.
The operation involved approximately 20 teams from the income-tax department who conducted simultaneous raids at multiple office locations of Anvita Infra Projects. These offices were spread across Hyderabad and the neighboring Sangareddy districts, with significant focus on their main premises in Raidurgam. This large-scale raid underscores the authorities’ crackdown on financial discrepancies and tax evasion in the corporate sector.
The investigation aims to uncover any irregularities in the financial dealings of Anvita Infra Projects. The outcome of these raids and the implications for the company and its owner, Boppana Atchuta Rao, are yet to be ascertained as the authorities continue their thorough examination of the company’s financial records and transactions.
